Hershee

As some of you know we recently were blessed with 40lb., bouncing, baby Chocolate Lab...
Her name is, "Hershee" ( I had to spell it different from the other 9million chocolate labs named "Hershey") ( Other thoughts, Dove, Godiva, Girradelle sp?)
How and Why do we have this new bundle of joy, you may ask...Billy (who is not our animal lover) found her, trying to cross 122nd street. He called me & asked what he should do with her...She was covered with ticks and looked like her whiskers had been burned off. But, he said, "She is just so darned cute" I made an appointment at our Vet, he took her to get her shots and to have her checked out, then took her to Petsmart to have her bathed, and then brought her to her new home. He was right she is sooo cute. She is at that very awkward puppy stage, where her feet seem to be the biggest thing on her. She came right in, jumped up in my lap, turned over on her back & just layed there grunting. I was hooked. So was Brylee, as you can see in the pictures.

It is a good thing she is so cute, because she IS NOT housebroken.
This morning, I had cleaned up the 3rd pee spot & I took Brylee to the bathroom to do her hair. We came back to the living room, & both of us about fell over from the smell, (Not just pee this time) So I took her over to the spot showed it to her, told her "No" & put her outside. I put out the water bucket for her. So while I'm cleaning up poop, Brylee is asking me over and over, " Did, Hershee poop!!?" "Let me see"
She is very fascinated with poop right now.(?) So I get it cleaned up, clean the pee spot too, and the whole time Brylee is saying, "Oooo it stinks!!" Yes, Brylee "it's poop" I find the fabreez and used half the bottle, finally it's done...I go to the back door to let Hershee back in, & she is laying in a huge puddle of water (really mud, since she tipped over her water bucket and it mixed with all the dirt on the back patio) She is covered in mud, so, I come back in and get a towel, I tell Brylee that I will be right back, I go outside & towel Hershee off, she covers me with mud because she thinks I'm playing with her. When she's dry enough, I bring her back in the house and I look at Brylee & she has drawn all over her face and neck with a pink marker!!!!! I take her (Brylee) to the bathroom to clean her up (thank goodness it was washable marker) and when I walk into the living room there is another PEE SPOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I called Dan to have him remind me how cute she is, (Hershee, not Brylee) well maybe Brylee too, at that point.

Well, I least I'm not bored!!!!!!!!

Peace to all,
Grammy
